Trends so far

It appears obvious now that Modi will form the next government comfortably. Some of the most striking trends from the leads and results so far

• ADMK is poised for a sweep in Tamil Nadu. Amma has shown her capability in style as ADMK is leading in 35 out of 37 constituencies for which leads are out so far. Even in constituencies where NDA/DMK had a greater hope, ADMK has come up trumps, such as Virudhunagar where Vaiko is expected to lose to T.Radhakrishnan, and Chennai where DMK is expected to lose control of its bastion.
• BJP is poised to emerge with a never-before seen lead in UP. BSP and SP are going to be limited to 20 seats at max.
• Arun Jaitley is poised to lose to Capt. Amarinder Singh in Amritsar by a huge margin
• BJP has surprised everyone by its showing in Assam (It is expected to win at least 9 seats)
• Amethi is going neck to neck between Rahul Gandhi and Smriti Irani(Update at 15:30: Rahul is now confortably in the lead by more than 40000 votes)
• Jaswant Singh is poised to lose to Col. Sona Ram in Barmer
• Shashi Tharoor is trailing O Rajagopal in Thiruvananthapuram by more than 15000 votes (Update at 15:30: Now he is back in the lead by 15000 votes)
• BJP's Sunil Soren is leading both Shibu Soren and Babu Lal Marandi in Dumka, Jharkhand (Update: at 15:30: Shibu Soren is leading now by 14000 votes)
• Moon Moon Sen is leading Basudeb Acharya in Bankura by more than 15000 votes.
• Tariq Karra is leading Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar by more than 15000 votes
• BJP is poised for a clean sweep in Delhi with AAP posing a close challenge only in East Delhi, where Rajmohan Gandhi is trailing Maheish Girri by 10000 votes
• P.C.Chacko is trailing Innocent in Chalakudy, Kerala
• In Farrukhabad, UP, Salman Khurshid has won only 9100 votes compared to BJP's Mukesh Rajput at 81000. He is at 5th position and I had expected a win for him.
• Bhagwant Mann of AAP has won comfortably in Sangrur, Punjab. AAP is expected to win at least 2 seats in Punjab.
• Neck to neck fights are being seen in some constituencies in Seemandhra like Narasaraopet, Tirupati between TDP-BJP alliance and YSRCP
• Rabri Devi seems to be losing to Rajiv Pratap Rudy of BJP in Saran, Bihar

Overall I expect my predictions to have severely underestimated BJP at the centre and ADMK in Tamil Nadu. But my overall prediction for Congress is expected to be quite close.
