- Kanker - This constituency could be the closest fight as Congress won 6 out of 8 segments in the assembly elections last year. Their candidate Phoolodevi Netam escaped the Maoist ambush of the Congress motorcade in the Darbha valley of Bastar with bullet injuries in her foot. Tribal votes could go more in favor of her than BJP candidate Usendi who was chosen over sitting MP Sohan Potai who was found to be associated with Maoist sympathizers
- Mahasamund - Ajit Jogi, Congress's face in Chhatisgarh is on a tricky pitch. BJP has fielded sitting MP Chandu Lal Sahu(there are 10 independent namesakes in the fray as well). Jogi's campaign has been spearheaded by his daughter-in-law Richa, but the anti-incumbency factor is going to be difficult to overcome even for a politician of the stature of Ajit Jogi
- Korba - Sitting MP and Farmer-turned politician Charan Das Mahant is a much more respected figure locally in this stronghold of Ajit Jogi and is expected to beat the anti-incumbency factor and beat BJP's 74-year old Banshilal Mahato. In 2009, Charan Das had beaten Vajpayee's nephew Karuna Shukla by a margin of 40000 votes
- Rajnandgaon - Abhishek Singh, contesting his first election is the son of CM Raman Singh and should win this seat comfortably
